The Corona ritual is known worldwide: best enjoyed with a slice of lime and sunlight. But for a brand built around the Sun, the 2024 Annular Solar Eclipse couldn’t go unnoticed.

How could the iconic lime ritual continue when the Sun was disappearing? The idea was to transform the solar eclipse into a natural design element, turning the Sun into the iconic lime slice of the Corona ritual.

We invited nature-specialized photographers, who spent months planning to find where the Sun’s shape would best resemble the iconic lime slice, considering Sun elevation, timing, and geography.

They had a short time window to capture it perfectly, and launched the campaign on the same day—no CGI, no AI—allowing fans to instantly connect with the brand’s iconic ritual.
